A Message from The Beyra Directory

As many of you will know, The Beyra Directory has grown from strength to strength over the past few years since its small beginnings.   It has become highly sought-after and an essential read for the expat community in Central Portugal as well as providing the contact details of English speaking businesses.

Having begun as just an A4 sheet of paper it has taken a lot of hard work and dedication from everyone involved with The Beyra Directory to create the magazine we know today.   We are all immensely proud of what we have achieved and I wish to personally thank Roger Merrison, Dorinda Rodrigues, Paulo Oliveira and Clive Ransom because without them The Beyra Directory would never have got off the ground.

The Beyra Directory has been totally self-supported to date but due to the reluctance of many advertisers to pay for their advertising space we have decided to suspend production for the time being.

I know it is going to be missed by a lot of residents in Central Portugal as well as our readers overseas and would like to thank all of our readers for their incredible support and encouragement.
